From our little baby New Year, we hope everyone has a wonderful 2010!! We know our family has a lot to look forward to in the new year:

1. Watching Colton grow into a great big brother.

2. Getting to watch Chase go through all his milestones.

3. Casey and I are going to the Domican Republic in February for vacation. Pray for my mom and dad while they watch Colt and Chase and Kansas for 5 days!!!!
4. Casey and I get to become an aunt and uncle in March when Uncle Brett and Aunt Ashley's little girl, Blaire is born. So excited!!!!!!

Holly Jolly Christmas

We had a busy Christmas. Last weekend, Uncle Chris and Aunt Dee Dee came to kick off our Christmas celebrations. We all got lots of cool gifts and had a feeling that this was going to be a year for Thomas the Train.
Colt showing Chase his present from Chris and Dee Dee. Colt got to open double this year, b/c Chase is so little.

Gram and Papa came to spend the week with us. This was on Christmas Eve.

Colt putting the key on the door for Santa.

Leaving Santa cookies, carrots for the reindeer, and hot chocolate for Santa.

This was about the extent of Chase's Christmas. Eating and being held while staring at the Christmas tree lights.

Colt with his Thomas tent that Uncle Brett and Aunt Ashley got him. He loves it!!

Colt and his Auburn Tackle Buddy from Gram and Papa. I think we have bopped that thing over a hundred times since Friday.

Colt's present from Santa. A basketball goal. We made the mistake of putting it out before we opened the other presents. All he wanted to do was shoot. It was an act of God to get him to come over and open the other presents he got. Look at that form after only a few practice shots.

Colt's present from Gram and Papa: a train table and a train set. Talk about hog heaven. He kept asking Casey to play with it.

Our families are truly lucky and blessed. We hope everyone had a very merry Christmas.

Happy Baby!

Polar Express and Christmas Parade

Sunday, we took Colton down to the Railroad Museum to listen to the reading of the Polar Express. The story was being read by one of the newscasters in town and each kid got some hot chocolate, and a gift from Santa. Colt was so excited for the hot chocolate! When I asked Casey if he liked it, he said he took one sip. I guess he was too excited too drink with all the fun trains to play with and look at. After the reading we walked to the Christmas Parade downtown. The weather was perfect, not too cold, and Colton scored some candy and got to see some greyhounds dressed up with lights on their leashes and hear the sirens. So, it was a good afternoon.

Concerned about the train in the background, not the conductor.

Finally listening - he asked what would happen after the story and Colt yelled out, "Hot Chocolate!!"

Chase is 2 Months Old!

I can't believe it has already been 2 months since our little Chase got here. Casey and I give everyone nicknames including Colt and Kansas. Colt is Coltie Moltie, Punk (b/c he used to be our little pumpkin), CDub,etc. Well, we have nicknamed Chase, "Bug" because his eyes are so big and bright he looks like a little bug when he looks at you and "Grunt" because when he eats, he makes this weird grunting sound. So when Casey calls home during the day to check on everyone, he says, "How's P & G (Punk and Grunt). We're strange and bored, I know!!
Anyway, here are a few things Chase is doing:
*Smiling and cooing
*Lifting his head
*Looking for sounds by turning his head toward them.
*Loves to "stand" and kick his legs
*Trying to figure out big brother
*Rolled from his back to his side. Probably a fluke.
Colton is doing so good with him. I saw him today run into the kitchen, grab Chase's bottle (it was empty), and run back to give it to him because he was crying. Colton also leaned over and gave him a kiss on the head and said, "What's the matter Baby Chase? Why are you crying." I almost died!!! So sweet!
Chase is still eating every 3-4 hours and hates to be laid down. We went to the pediatrician this morning for his 2 month checkup and the doctor said he was just a lap baby, that nothing was medically wrong with him - just spoiled!! So, we have to work on not holding him so much - so hard!!
Before, I couldn't imagine our life not having Colt as the baby and our only one, now I can't imagine it without Chase. Funny how that happens. God is truly Great!!!!!!!!!

Big Dimples!

"Standing"
I stood him up next to Colt's chair and he stood there for a little bit until his little legs gave out.

A Visit From Two Turkeys

For Thanksgiving week, Casey's parents came out to meet Chase and give some much needed attention to Colton. We are so glad they came and we had a great time while they were here. They are always so helpful when they come and are always willing to babysit. Colt's face always lights up when he sees Nana and Papaw and Kansas loves to talk long, long walks with his grandpa. Thanks for all you do guys, we love you and look forward to seeing you soon.

We also had our friend, Leigh, over with Hannah and Nathan for Thanksgiving dinner. Her husband, Dave had to go out of town, so we thought the more the merrier. Colt loves playing with Hannah and since Nathan and Chase are 6 weeks apart, they are going to be great friends, too.

God We Thank You

We wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I just wanted to share a few things I was thankful for.

I am thankful Casey has a great job and we have a nice home, and food on the table every night.

I am thankful for our church and that Colton loves going so much that that he runs to his class every Sunday and tells me Puggles Church is in God's House.

I am thankful for my family of four. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful husband who can put up with me, make me laugh when I don't want to, loves his 2 boys more than life itself, is a hard-working provider who takes care of us, and is my best friend and I couldn't live without.

Iam thankful for my 2 healthy little boys who love their mommy and daddy. They melt my heart every day.

I am thankful for my 4-legged baby, Kansas. He always knows if I am sad and need a furry head in my lap and gives unconditional love.

I am thankful for my parents and Casey's parents. They all mean more to us than we tell them. We are grateful to have such good role models to guide us through our lives together. I am thankful Colt and Chase have the best grandparents in the world that love them so much.

We are thankful for Uncle Brett and Aunt Ashley. They are going to be wonderful parents in March.

We are thankful for Uncle Chris and Aunt Deanna. They are so unselfish and come at a moment's notice with just one call.

We are thankful for friends both near and far. Some we have known for a long time and some it seems like we just met. Each of you has a special place in our hearts and we know God put you there for a reason.

Everyone enjoy your family and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

First Day At Church

Today was actually the day we got the whole family to church. It is very hard trying to get everyone breakfast and baths and bottles ready to go. I guess it is a good thing that we were all awake at 6:30!! I was a little worried about Chase, but he did fine for his first time in the nursery. We sat close to an exit and I held the beeper close, but when we went to get him, he was fast asleep in the nursery lady's arm. Hopefully, Chase will love to go as much as Colt does. When I asked him where we were going today, he said to God's House!!!!! Gotta love the children!

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!!!

Colt was Charlie Brown for Halloween this year. It was a pretty simple costume we could throw together in our hectic lives right now. We had a very hectic day. We started off by going to our friend, Mia Kate's 1st birthday party. Colt had a blast there playing with Emma Grace and jumping in the bouncy house. I had to trick him to get him out so we could leave. Then we came home and went trick-or-treating with our his friends, Hannah and Hayden. They were all so cute together, ringing the doorbells and getting their candy. Casey had to go to North Dakota for his grandmother's funeral, so my sister-in-law was nice enough to come down from Raleigh and go out with us. Colt loved having his Aunt Dee Dee there and wanted to show her what he got in his candy bag after every stop. Once we hit all the houses, we came back home and Colt helped pass out candy with me and Kansas. He loved running and getting the candy basket when the doorbell rang. I had to help him, though, not to give each kid 2o twizzlers at a time. We hope everyone else had a great Halloween. Enjoy the videos and pictures.

Poor Chase. It looks like I'm breaking his little neck.

Much better.
