Memorial Day Fun

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend. Saturday was nice and relaxing. On Sunday we hung out, took Kansas on a walk and played at the playground, and then went to a cookout in our neighborhood. Monday was beach time. It was a perfect day because it wasn't too hot. We love living at the beach!

Colt playing patty cake and wearing his baseball outfit Nana and Grandpa Bough got him. Maybe one day he really will wear a Royals Jersey.

Getting ready to take Kansas on a walk.

The boys eagerly waiting on Casey to join us.

Colt and Hannah hanging out at the neighborhood cookout. Hannah was so good and stayed in her stroller the entire time. Colt on the other hand wanted out right after this picture was taken so he could cruise along the benches. He was heck on wheels.

Spending the holiday at the beach. Where else would you want to be?

This is isn't the clearest video, because it came off of my phone, but you can get the idea.

Walk this Way!!

Colton has decided he might be ready to walk. Last week he took a couple of steps and in the past few days, he has been balancing a little longer on his own. Yesterday and today, he has gone the farthest, yet. We are so excited, but a little sad because our "baby" is growing up so fast. We can't believe in 3 weeks he will be 1!!!

Getting ready to go

Whoa! A little too fast.

Try again. Nice and steady.

Now I'm going!!!

"Here I come, Mommy!!!"

"Look at me!!! All by myself!"

"OOOH this is fun!!!!"

"Mommy are you proud of me? I made it to you!"

First Mother's Day

Despite the monsoon rain we had, it was a wonderful 1st Mother's Day. I am so lucky to have 3 boys (I'm including Kansas) that love me so much. God has certainly blessed me. We were also grateful to have Gram and Poppy come visit for the weekend. Casey and I actually went to a movie. Thanks Gram and Poppy, ya'll are the best!!

Me and my best gift. I can't imagine life without him, now.

Colt with his Gram.

Colt playing with his Poppy. He's not shy about showing his rolls.

First Day at the Beach

Casey got off work early today so we all went down to the beach for a little while. This was Colt's first time back to the beach since he was 1 1/2 months old. He liked it much better this time and didn't freak out when the waves touched him. I think he even got his first taste of sand.

Taking after Casey already. Trying to find a cold drink in the cooler.

"What is this stuff on my feet and hands?!"

"I like playing in the ocean with my daddy!!"

First Baseball game and exploring his world.

On Tuesday night, we went to the UNCW baseball game. They were playing East Carolina. This was Colt's first baseball game I'm sure of many. He loved it when the crowd started cheering and shouting. He also had his first ballpark hotdog (actually, he only had little bites of the bun).

Doing one of his many laps around the furniture. He lets go and stands for a couple of seconds, tries to take a step, and then face plants. At least he's not scared.

I just thought this was a cute picture. He is actually trying to reach as far as he can to get something off of the table.

And he succeeded!! He is playing with Casey's Blackberry. This eventually made it into his mouth.
After one of our walks on the beach. No beach baby is complete without Crocks and sunglasses.

Colt has found out how to open the cabinets. Seeing what he can find.

Does it look like he got caught!?

Colton likes to pull things out of the cabinets now and make noise. I can't decide if he wants to be a drummer or the next Betty Crocker.
