Our Little Hometown Zoo

So, I finally convinced CAsey that he should go with me and Colt to the Tregembo Animal Park. Colt loves animals, so I thought this would be a good introduction to a zoo and he was free. Casey and I were both suprised that it actually had some good animals inside. Luckily, we got there early before it got too hot and the animals didn't want to come out. By the time we left, it was getting warm.

Casey and Colt in front of the White Tiger

Crocodile - They were right next to the hog pens, which I thought was kind of mean, b/c I'm sure it was taunting them every second.

Siberian Tiger

You could feed a lot of the animals corn or peanuts. Colt had just thrown over some corn and this miniature horse goosed him from behind.

He loved the goats.

Helping daddy feed the goats.

In front of the sleeping lion. This was his pose the entire time, back to the fence with both hands on it.

His favorite was Jack the giraffe. Jack finally came out of his garage. Colt would stand at the fence and yell, "Jack, come!!" He also kept knocking on the sidewalk and the fence to get him to come out, b/c he's seen us do that to get Kansas to pay attention to us.

Ben the Bear. Colt thought it was funny when we would throw him peanuts and he reached through the gate to get them.

It's a ....................................

Casey and I went to have our ultrasound today and found out it's a BOY!!!!!! So, I am completely outnumbered in the house, now. Oh well. I'm glad Colt will have a brother to play ball with and rough house with, and talk about girls with. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy to Mother's Day to all you mother's and grandmother's out there. We hope you all had a wonderful day. Thank you to our mother's for everything you did for Casey and I growing up. We love you very much. Colt is so lucky to have his Nana and his Gram!!!

I would also like to pay tribute to my Mamaw. Today would have been her 98th birthday. What a great lady she was and I miss her everyday.

Off to church we go

Just a couple of pictures before we went to church last Sunday. Colt had on a new outfit and it was almost 90 degrees here. What a gorgeous day God gave us.

I thought this was cute pic of Colt. Please ignore me and my pregnant self. I am in that in between stage where my regular clothes are getting a little tight, but the maternity clothes are still a little big. I'm sure that will change very soon. I also am in desperate need of a haircut and this was the easiest thing to do at the moment. You can also see our little Tasmanian Devil was already into the toys that early in the morning, so excuse that, too.

Show us your Living Room

Ok, so a blog I'm addicted to now is Kelly's Korner. Every Friday, she is asking people to give a tour of a certain room in their home. Today's was your living room or family room. People are also free to give suggestions if they are asked for. I didn't do the kitchen last week, but if you find the time, go and look at the 300+ kitchens that got posted. I got some really good ideas for ours. Casey and I aren't really in love with our living room and would like it to be bigger. Also, need suggestions for my mantle in the Spring/Summer. I do pretty well in the Fall and Winter. I would like our space to look more inviting. So enjoy and go get some other ideas from other's rooms.

Here is our mantle. Any suggestions on how to spruce it up?

Also need suggestions on what to use to cover this long wall. I'm not really crazy about that picture over the couch, but it works until I find something else.

View looking towards the front door. I love our curio cabinet. It has special things from our wedding in it.

This area has me in a quandry, as well. Not sure what to do here. We have debated hanging the tv on the wall, but haven't gotten around to it, yet.

Happy Birthday, Kansas

Today is our four-legged baby's 4th birthday. It doesn't seem like we have had him that long. Kans has been there through everything. He was the "Man of the House" when Casey had to work in Louisiana for 6 months and he was by my side when we sold our house in Knoxville, had to be out in 2 weeks, stayed with some wonderful friends, and oh, Casey was already here in Wilmington. He kept me company in the apartment on the 3rd floor when we first moved to NC and the doctors put me on bedrest and said no walking. And, he always comes and lays with me at the end of the night when everyone else has gone to bed. What a great pal we have. Happy Birthday, Kansas. We love you.
Looking so mature - he is 28 now.

Are we done, yet?

Baby Update

I had another doctor's visit today. We are now at 16 1/2 weeks. Everything looked good and the doctor told us we didn't have to wait until our next visit in 4 weeks to find out what we are having. So, we are going to find out on May 15th. I will keep everyone updated. Have a great weekend.
