1 Week To Go!!!

As of today, we have one week until baby Chase arrives. I can't believe the time is
almost here. I am looking forward to being able to fit into regular clothes again
and luckily it will be turning cooler so I can hide my baby belly still. I will, or
Casey will, let everyone know how things went. I told Colt tonight that next week he was going to meet his baby brother and he said, "Wow!! Alright! Put my shoes on him?" Can't wait to see what we have in store!!! My surgery is scheduled for 11:30am on the 6th. Wish us luck and we can't for everyone to meet Chase.

God....Made Everything!

For the past month, we have been taking Colt to church for Wednesday night Awanas. Their programs start for 2 year olds and are called "Puggles." Last week, they got their shirts that they wear every Wednesday. He loves going to church and last night we pulled in and he started yelling, "Puggle Church, Puggle Church!!" When I went to pick him up the teacher handed me their weekly Bible verse that they had learned and that we were supposed to talk about with him for the week. When we got in the car I just mentioned something about the paper with his Bible verse on it and he said, "God made everything." I picked up the paper to look at it, because I hadn't even glanced at it, and that is exactly what the Bible verse was. Wow!! He said it all the way home. Let's hope he remembers it by next Wednesday.
Someone had to get in the picture.

37 week update

I had my 37 week doctor's appointment today and everything looked good. My cervix was starting to thin out, but I hadn't started dilating, yet. My surgery date is October 6th, so hopefully the little guy will stay in there until then. I go back again next Friday and then my pre-op visit is the following Monday. I can't believe he is almost here. We are so excited!!

"No, I Love Daddy Moses!!!

When Colt goes to bed at night, Casey always tells him, "Daddy loves you mostest." And Colt peeks through the stair rails and says,"Mostest, Daddy!" Well, on Sunday in church, Colt's lesson was about Moses floating down the river in the basket. So, after he woke up from his nap, I asked Colt if he learned about Moses in Sunday School and he said very seriously, "No Mommy, Love Daddy the Moses (mostest)!!!" I guess we have a few years to get down the characters in the Bible, but I'm so glad he knows now how much he is loved by his daddy and how much he loves his daddy back.

2 Milestones - 24 Hours

Today was Colt's first day of Preschool. We went to an open house on Friday and he loved that his room had a ball pit and big trucks. I was really hoping he would be ok going in and not decide to hit a separation anxiety phase. Totally the opposite!!! I walked him in and ran into his room without even a look back. They even had to chase him down to put his name tag on. Yeah (and boo hoo)!!!! When I picked him up, they had all the kids waiting at the car line door sitting on their individual carpet mats. He didn't even notice me and was watching all the other kids get picked up. I thought these teachers are already miracle workers. How did they get my never slow down kid to sit on a carpet square and wait. Wow!!!!! When we were walking back to the car he told me he had fun and no cry!! He told me they had bananas for a snack and got to play at the park, which is what he calls the playground. Hopefully, we will do just as well on Friday.
Getting ready to go.

Outside school - not cooperating with pictures.
Ready to do it all by himself.

Last night, we finally put Colt in his big, big bed as he calls it. We have been talking to him about it for a month or so and telling him everybody that sleeps in a big bed. A big thanks to Casey and Greg for moving the bed into Colt's room. Case and I don't really work on projects well together, so Greg was a Godsend in helping. Colt also loves Mr. Greg and he was so excited to show him his big bed and all his "friends" he sleeps with. The previous times we have shown Colt this bed in the other room he has wanted to jump around on it and play. I figured this is what I was going to be in store for last night, seeing as all of his toys are in his room and he could just slide out and get one anytime. Thank the good Lord, he laid right down as ususal and after about 15 minutes he rolled over on his tummy and was out all night!!!!!! We never heard a peep out of him. Tonight may be different, but let's hope not. For those of you who know me, you know I love my sleep and was not looking forward to starting to get up again in the middle of the night. I mean, I have 5 more weeks until that starts again, so thank you to my Little Man for being a big boy and sleeping all night.
"Hey Mommy, I slept good!"

Proud of my Big, Big Bed.

Gram's Bday

My parents came over to celebrate my mom's birthday and to help me get some more things in order before the baby gets here. On Saturday night, we went to eat at a place on the Intracoastal Waterway. This is just another reason I love living here. The views from some of these places is amazing. There are tons of boats and yachts docked here as well. Some are mighty impressive!!!
One view from our table.
Another view where the yachts are docked.
