Colt's 2nd Birthday

This has a lot of pictures, so bear with me. We are finally home after being gone for 2 weeks. We celebrated Colton's birthday in Kansas again this year, but this time my parents were able to come. It was so nice to have everyone there, but we really did miss Uncle Chris and Aunt Dee Dee. Colt's birthday was on Friday, the 19th, but we celebrated a little early so that Uncle Brett and Aunt Ashley could be there with us. He is really going to be disappointed when he gets older and realizes he is really only supposed to get one birthday. Colt and I met my parents in Chattanooga and then they rode with us to Kansas and back. We are so glad we have wonderful parents that and brothers and sister-in-laws that love Colt so much. He got to do so much. We stopped by Tennessee Tech to visit my alma mater, he got 2 birthday celebrations, we went to the Precious Moments headquarters, he got to swim everyday, he got to go to the zoo and get licked by a giraffe, got to meet his great-grandfather, visited the Bass Pro Shops headquarters, got lots of loving, helped Uncle Brett catch a fish, got to go to the Creative Discovery Museum in Chattanooga to see Curious George. Wow, what an action packed couple of weeks. We were also lucky that we got to spend a bit of time with all 3 fathers on Father's Day. What a rare occasion. Colt has the best grandpas and daddy in the world!!!! What 3 great men for him and his little brother to look up to. How could he get any luckier? And though they are not fathers, he has the 2 best uncles to look up too. We love all of you and all you do for us.

Having a birthday pancake on his real birthday.

Faye, Sam Butcher , and me at the Precious Moments headquarters. This is the creator of the Precious Moments figurines and he is only in town once or twice a year. He lives in the Phillipines, now. He comes back to paint very rarely.

Be Back Soon

Hello everyone. We are still not home, yet from our traveling, but will be home Friday. We got back to TN after a week in Kansas last night about 1 am. Mr. I have to see everything took about a 45 minute nap the whole trip and then fell asleep 20 minutes before we got home. Thank goodness for Barney and my parents being with us. I am also grateful that he slept until 9:30 this morning!!! God bless my kid!!! We will head back to North Carolina on Friday and hopefully be home for a little while. We had such a great time in Kansas and we are so lucky that Colton has 2 sets of grandparents that love him so much!! It was also great that Casey got to take a week off to be out there, too. As soon as we get home, I will put pictures up from his birthday and all the fun things he got into out in the midwest.
If you would like to see Colt's proofs from his 2 year pictures you can go to this website and see them until Wednesday. Hope everyone had a great Father's Day.

Friendly Fun

This weekend our good friends Brad and Brandy and Parker came to visit us. It was so good to see them since we hadn't seen Parker since Christmas. Man, he has really grown and he is so cute and loveable. Brandy's mom also came and my mom was here, so Saturday night we had to twist their arms to babysit while the four of us went to a no-kid dinner. I can't remember the last time I have eaten dinner without bargaining with someone to eat their meat or to tell them to sit down like a big boy. It was so nice to sit after I ate and not have to jump up to get home before a meltdown. You forget the little pleasures in life after you have a baby. Thanks to my mom and Barbara for watching the kiddos.

Parker and Colt. I can't believe looking at this picture how much Colt looks like a little boy and not my baby like I see him everyday. Amazing!!

This was Brandy and I one Halloween with our first babies. We have gone from this to................

This!!!!! Still cute, just not as furry.
