2 Milestones - 24 Hours

Today was Colt's first day of Preschool. We went to an open house on Friday and he loved that his room had a ball pit and big trucks. I was really hoping he would be ok going in and not decide to hit a separation anxiety phase. Totally the opposite!!! I walked him in and ran into his room without even a look back. They even had to chase him down to put his name tag on. Yeah (and boo hoo)!!!! When I picked him up, they had all the kids waiting at the car line door sitting on their individual carpet mats. He didn't even notice me and was watching all the other kids get picked up. I thought these teachers are already miracle workers. How did they get my never slow down kid to sit on a carpet square and wait. Wow!!!!! When we were walking back to the car he told me he had fun and no cry!! He told me they had bananas for a snack and got to play at the park, which is what he calls the playground. Hopefully, we will do just as well on Friday.
Getting ready to go.

Outside school - not cooperating with pictures.
Ready to do it all by himself.

Last night, we finally put Colt in his big, big bed as he calls it. We have been talking to him about it for a month or so and telling him everybody that sleeps in a big bed. A big thanks to Casey and Greg for moving the bed into Colt's room. Case and I don't really work on projects well together, so Greg was a Godsend in helping. Colt also loves Mr. Greg and he was so excited to show him his big bed and all his "friends" he sleeps with. The previous times we have shown Colt this bed in the other room he has wanted to jump around on it and play. I figured this is what I was going to be in store for last night, seeing as all of his toys are in his room and he could just slide out and get one anytime. Thank the good Lord, he laid right down as ususal and after about 15 minutes he rolled over on his tummy and was out all night!!!!!! We never heard a peep out of him. Tonight may be different, but let's hope not. For those of you who know me, you know I love my sleep and was not looking forward to starting to get up again in the middle of the night. I mean, I have 5 more weeks until that starts again, so thank you to my Little Man for being a big boy and sleeping all night.
"Hey Mommy, I slept good!"

Proud of my Big, Big Bed.
