New Year's Eve Fun

Since we were gone so long over Christmas, we hadn't given Colt his presents from us, yet. We decided to pull them out on New Year's Eve. He had so much fun playing with more toys and then we went out to eat at Outback. Yum - cheese fries and ranch are the best!!!! Hope everyone had a good New Year's and has a great 2009. We can't wait to wait Colt grow and learn this year and see what it has in store for us.

Playing in his new ball pit. I forgot to buy more than balls than it came with, so he had fun tipping it over.

Me and my little man with his new xylophone and broom. He's such a good helper when I clean.

Colt showing Casey how to play.

Me and my other baby, Kansas.

"Hey, did you say my name?"

Driving while talking on a cell phone. Never a good combination.

This is what happens if you talk and drive. Let this be lesson!

Ride 'Em, Cowboy!!

For Christmas, Gram and Papa got Colt a rocking horse, whose name is Lucky. When I was little, I had one and loved it. His is a little safer and doesn't have exposed springs, but I'm sure just as fun. Hopefully he will get the same joy out of his that I did. Casey and I put it together last night and this morning. Here are some pictures and a video of him riding it. I think he really likes it.

Getting ready to saddle up!

He loves this horse!!! Yeah!!!

Casey being silly and riding Kansas while Colt rides his horse. Kansas wasn't too fond of this!!

Christmas in Tennessee

On our way back to NC from Kansas, we stopped at my parent's house to do Christmas there. Here are some random pictures from the 2 days we opened presents. We had a great dinner that my mom cooked that was so good after being on the road for 10 hours. Colton loved playing with Poppa and showing off his newest trick of doing the motions to the song "This Little Light of Mine." We even got to squeeze in a quick visit with our best friends, Brandy and Brad and baby Parker. It was so good to see them. There is also another post from Christmas in Kansas below this one, so keep reading. We hope everyone had as great a Christmas with your family and friends as we did.

Colt with his new backpack from Gram and Poppa. It was super cute.

Looking to see what he got. It was the book "Llama, Llama Red Pajama from Uncle Chris and Aunt Dee Dee.

Looking to see what Santa put in his HUGE stocking!!

Showing Daddy and Poppa how to hit the ball.

Helping Gram open her gift.

Playing with Poppa

We got to see our friends, Brad and Brandy for a short time before they headed home. Parker is so alert and has gotten so big since we saw him about 3 days after he was born. We miss you guys.

Over the River and Through the Woods, To Grandmother's House We Go.

We just got back from our Christmas adventures in Kansas and Tennessee. Boy, I didn't know fun until being in a car with an 18 month old for 20 hours. I have never heard Barney so much in my life. God Bless Barney and Tammy for letting us borrow her DVD player. We had a great time in Kansas and the weather wasn't too bad at all. Colt of course got spoiled and got lots of good gifts that we had to stuff in the car. Poor kid, after we left TN, he looked like a stuffed sausage in the backseat. We love visiting family, but after being gone 11 days, we were glad to be back home.

Colt playing Nana's piano she got for Christmas.

Hanging out with daddy and some chicken bouillon cubes he stole from Nana's cabinet. I can't believe we bought toys and he played with this.

Colt, Nana, and Papaw. Colt, Uncle Brett, and Aunt Ashley.

One of Brett's favorite Chrismas gifts. It is a lovely ensemble of a Native American shirt paired with a brown, wavy tie. It was really a gag gift from Larry.

Playing with Giggle Elmo and split personality, Giggle Cookie Monster.

Colt was blowin' up on his new phone from Nana and Papaw.

Trying to help daddy get out the giggle Elmo.

Colt showing his Uncle Brett that he can do the perfect push-up, unlike him.

Fit For Fun

Today, since it was raining outside, Tammy and I took Colt, EG, and Mia to a cool place downtown called Fit For Fun Center. It has one huge room full of toys, cars, and slides, another room for arts and crafts and then another room for snacks and more toys. Colt and Emma Grace had so much fun and finally got to chase each other around where they wouldn't get in trouble. EG is so sweet with Colt and it's so fun to watch them together.

Playing in the ball pit.

There's something women like about a pick-up man.

Banging on the drum.

Getting ready to go down the slide. Right after this there was an accident that resulted in 2 kids crying. This slide was super fast. When EG slid down, she went so fast she flipped off the slide and nailed her head on Colt's head. Both were fine after a little loving.

Colt trying to hula hoop like momma.

Spinning in the spin toy. Of course EG had to do all the work. Colt just had to concentrate on holding on.
